OSBA is offering both sessions of the Honey Judging Class this spring on March 8 & 9, 2019 at the Conference Room at Waterman Farms , 2433 Carmack Road,  Columbus, Ohio.  The Friday evening class (6pm -9pm) will offer the beginning session that includes equipment, liquid honey and wax.  The cost for the Friday evening class is $50.00 and will include Jim Thompson’s book on honey judging and handouts. Brunswick Library will host the Saturday class 9am-5pm on February 2 & 9 and the Medina Library will host the Tuesday evening classes 6pm-8:15pm on February 19, 26 and March 5, 12 and 19. Phenology is the study of recurring biological phenomena and their relationship to weather and climate. Bird migration, hunting and gathering seasons, blooming of wildflowers and trees, and the seasonal appearance of insects are examples of phenological events that have been recorded for centuries.
