The recent confirmation of the coronavirus in the state of Ohio has led to public health concerns related to disease transmission. As a result, The Ohio State University has been proactively implementing protocols for insuring the safety and health for our students and clientele. After consultation with college and university leadership, the Southwestern Ohio Beekeeper School scheduled for March 28, 2020 has been cancelled. It will not be rescheduled in 2020. I will refund your payment within the next 10 days.
We understand the disappointment for canceling this meeting. Timing and circumstances related to holding a large event do not allow us to reschedule it for this year. With over 400 people coming together from around the state, we need to follow the guidelines put forth by the Centers for Disease Control and the Ohio Department of Health to prevent the spread of this communicable respiratory illness.
Mark your calendars for the next Southwestern Ohio Beekeeper School on March 27, 2021. I will send the vendor registration forms out around January 1, 2021. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you at future beekeeper schools.

It is likely that other events and and even local associating meetings will also be affected. The Ohio State Beekeepers Association recommends you check for cancellations before leaving to attend an event or a meeting.
